Terms of service

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. About us

Combine is a vintage and secondhand clothing wholesaler. Combine is a trading name of Harvey's House Trading Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC875073), with its registered office at Unit 9P, Victoria Green Business Park, Carnoustie, DD7 7DS. Our VAT number is GB517395081.

In these terms, "Combine", "we", "us" and "our" mean Harvey's House Trading Ltd trading as Combine. "You" means the business placing an order with us.

2. These terms and the other policies

By placing an order you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, which form part of them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. It is not part of this contract, but it applies to your use of our website.

If there is any conflict between these Terms of Service and the Refund Policy or Shipping Policy, these Terms of Service take priority. If there is any conflict between the Refund Policy and the Shipping Policy, the Shipping Policy takes priority on delivery, loss and transit damage, and the Refund Policy takes priority on everything else.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on our website at the time you place your order.

3. Business customers only

Combine sells wholesale, to businesses, for resale. By placing an order you confirm that you are buying in the course of business, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have authority to enter into these terms on behalf of your business.

These are business-to-business sales and are governed by commercial law. Consumer rights, including the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, are not intended to apply. If consumer law does apply to your order, nothing in these terms limits or removes any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited or removed by law.

4. Website use

You agree not to misuse our website or to submit false, misleading or fraudulent orders. We may suspend or refuse access to our website, and refuse or cancel orders before dispatch, where we suspect fraud, abuse or misuse.

5. Products

All stock is used, secondhand clothing, sold by the box and graded by eye as described in our Refund Policy. The description of the goods is the grade description in that Refund Policy together with the piece count stated in the listing, subject to the grading variance set out in that policy. Goods are not sold by sample. To the extent the law allows, all terms implied by law as to satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose are excluded.

Each box contains the number of pieces stated in the listing. Photographs and other descriptions are a general guide to the type and grade of stock. Because every item is secondhand and no two boxes are identical, the exact items you receive will vary.

6. Orders, contract and cancellation

Your order is an offer to buy from us. A contract is formed only when we dispatch your order.

You may cancel your order by email to support@combinewholesale.com before it is dispatched. A cancellation takes effect only if it reaches us before we dispatch the order. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.

We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch, for example if stock is no longer available, if there was a genuine pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraud or that the order is not from a genuine business buyer. If we cancel an order, we refund any payment for it in full, and that is the full extent of our responsibility in that situation.

7. Pricing, VAT and availability

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are shown at checkout. Prices for UK orders include VAT at 20%. Sales exported to the EU are zero-rated for UK VAT; as the importer, you are responsible for any import VAT and duties in your own country, as set out in our Shipping Policy. A VAT invoice is available on request.

Shipping is calculated separately at checkout. We may change our prices at any time, but changes do not affect an order we have already accepted. All products are offered subject to availability, and we may limit order quantities or discontinue any product at any time.

If an order is placed at an obviously incorrect price caused by a listing or system error, we may cancel it and refund you in full, as set out in section 6.

8. Payment

Payment is taken in full at the time of order, through the payment methods available at checkout. We do not accept payment by bank transfer for website orders.

Title to the goods passes to you when we have received payment in full. If a payment is later reversed or charged back, you must, at our request, return any goods you still hold. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

9. Delivery

Delivery happens when the courier's tracking shows your order delivered to the address you gave us, or to a safe place or a neighbour in line with the courier's standard delivery procedures. Shipping and delivery are otherwise covered by our Shipping Policy.

10. Claim time limits and acceptance

If there is a problem with your order, the following time limits apply. They are defined here and referred to in our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy. In these terms, a working day means Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in Scotland.

  • Claims about the goods: within 3 working days of the delivery date shown on the courier's tracking.
  • Contamination claims: within 3 working days of the contamination becoming apparent, and in any event no later than 14 days after delivery.
  • Non-delivery: within 10 working days of dispatch for UK orders, or 15 working days of dispatch for EU orders.

If no claim is received within the relevant period, the goods are treated as accepted and as matching their description, so far as the law allows, and late claims will not be considered. This does not apply to a claim that an item is counterfeit, which may be raised within the longer period set out in our Refund Policy.

How claims are handled, and what remedies apply, is set out in our Refund Policy.

11. Chargebacks

If you have a problem with an order, you must use the claims process in our Refund Policy before contacting your bank or card provider. If you raise a chargeback that is withdrawn, decided in our favour, or raised without first using our claims process, we may recover from you our reasonable costs in dealing with it, and we may refuse to accept future orders from you.

12. Returns, refunds and claims

Returns, refunds and claims are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short, these are trade sales of graded secondhand stock, consumer return rights are not intended to apply (see section 3), and claims for genuine issues are handled as set out in that policy.

13. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to that:

  • Our total liability to you for any order, whether in contract, delict, negligence or otherwise, is limited to the total amount you paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, loss of sales or business, loss of anticipated savings, or business interruption, however it arises.
  • We are not responsible for the resale price you do or do not achieve on any stock bought from us.

14. Non-reliance

In entering into this contract you have not relied on any statement, promise or representation that is not set out in these terms, our Refund Policy or our Shipping Policy. This includes anything said in our social media, content or marketing. Nothing in this section limits our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15. Intellectual property

All content on our website, including the Combine name, logo, images, text and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use it without our written permission.

16. Events outside our control

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, customs delays, supply issues, strikes, or extreme weather. This does not affect the remedies in our Shipping Policy for a lost or damaged parcel. If an event outside our control continues for more than 30 days, either of us may cancel any affected order that has not yet been dispatched, and we will refund any payment for it. Dispatched orders are dealt with under our Shipping Policy.

17. Notices

Any claim or notice you send us is treated as received when it reaches our support inbox at support@combinewholesale.com.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A delay in enforcing these terms is not a waiver of our rights. These terms, together with the Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, the product listing and our order confirmation, are the entire agreement between us for your order. You may not withhold or set off any amount against sums due to us. No one other than you and us has any rights under these terms. You may not transfer your contract with us to anyone else without our written permission.

19. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of Scotland and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
